It's great to hear positive feedback to your coaches kids and parents that were involved. As USA Nebraska Treasurer we are excited about what this tournament can become for our younger USA wrestlers. We need you as states to express this to other states that are not involved. We feel that the facility we are in can host 30-32 teams with other facilities being discussed as we speak.

Teams we are heavily recruiting to get involved are
Indiana
Wisconsin
Ohio
Michigan
Colorado
Oklahoma
Texas
Pennsylvania
If you have any contacts for these states.. send your positive remarks for this tournament to them and also please send their contact info to
cgocke@plattsmouthschools.org or alphasurveying@qwestoffice.net

Dal-John-Moon and many more name's I can't recall--thank you for all the work you folks put it. My son had a blast and even asked why we can't always wrestle as a dual team!! Awesome singlet's-shirt/shorts and some of the best matches we had all year. Just sad this was our last year to be eligable. Blake said it was by far the best wrestling time he ever had! Thanks again to all who was involved in putting this together. BIG thanks to those that drove the vans--Did van 2 get any "replies" to sign in window? To be young again! Priceless!!

This is an event not to be missed. My son had a great time, got to meet some new kids and got to get to know some D2, D3 & D4 kids that he has competed against but didn't really know. He talked about the event the entire 3 1/2 hour ride home & woke up this morning talking about it. We use the term team alot on this forum but my wrestler finally got it after this past weekend. A big thanks goes out to the Garden City coaches & Manhattan coach that coached Team Gladiators, my son was actually asking about relocating from Topeka to Garden City on the way home last night but Mom (the voice of reason) put that to an end quickly. Thank you to all that volunteered your time to put this together, it is definately a highlight of Alex's wrestling career to date.

Congratulations to all the Kansas wrestlers who took this opportunity to go wrestle some stiff competition. There were 20 teams at this event and I am sure there will be more next year. As this event grows, the competition will get even tougher. We had several duals that came down to the last match or two which was exciting.

Thanks to all the coaches, table workers, van drivers and others who made this go smoothly.

Thanks you parents for trusting your sons with us - I hope they did not come back too corrupted!! Except for a couple black eyes, a nice cut lip and some bruises, we all came back in one piece.

I hope all the wrestlers had a good time and I expect them all to be signed up for the Elementary or Middle School teams next year.

Coaches, please send me your teams individual records so I can post them.

If anyone has a picture of the boys taking a leak by the side of road west of Omaha, please send it to me. That was funny!

P.S. Rusty, I am not aware of any positive responses to the request from van 2!!!

Dal

After a weekend like this one where does one start....

I want to thank Dal, Moses and crew for getting this set up and organized.

The wrestling and the competition was completely insane.

I think the best thing was seeing coaches and clubs that have battled each other every weekend come together as a team. Just not for the sake of being a team but they truly acted like a team!

It was a great learning experience and motivation for next year.

We took alot of pictures of the Trojans matches, I have them being made to discs as we speak if any parents or coaches of the Trojan kids want a copy e-mail me and I will send one. They might not be the greatest pictures but there alot of them.

You ain't getting rid of me that easy Ned. I would be too far away from my good pal Tom Richards (total sarcasm). D4 is way too far for that.

I agree Cam had a great time and actually said he liked the dual format better than tournament! A big thanks to the Cavanaughs for recording for me! I know Cam made friends he will hopefully have forever, an awesome experience for all of the kids. The 1 thing I did notice is how small all the Ks kids seemed to be, YIKES! All the other kids were huge! He is def looking forward to the middle school duals next year, A big thanks to everyone

Parents of the Gladiators, I would be in your debt if someone could email me some pictures of the team that were taken. I would take any other pictures taken thru out the tournament. Thanks for everything that you did and for allowing your kids an opportunity they will never forget.

The Holiday Inn Express called me and said they found some clothes that a parent had called them about. If you lost something, call them.

I still have the following t-shirts if any parent, sibling , etc needs one - $10.00 each

1 adult medium
15 adult large
1 adult xl

I also have 3 singlets - $50.00 each. These are the ones we did not use because we had no 140 lb. kids.

Email me at dal@matteck.com if interested

Don't forget, we will be doing this next year. Please help spread the word.

Again, thanks to all who helped.

Dal
