15 days till the first ranking. I have heard from over 40 coaches. Keep the info coming!

It would be nice to hear from:

Ark City
Emporia
Norton or any 321A team.

Norton's 2010-11 wrestling team members-to-be are either running cross country (our boys team is ranked #3 in 3A) or playing football (ranked #6 in 3A state). Their coaches are coaching either JH FB (Johnson and Miller)or HS FB (Fiscus). The upcoming wrestling season will become their concern when the fall sports seasons end.

Until then, rest assured we will have a wrestling team this year. smile

Every school has their wrestlers in other sports. Norton's kids are no different and each one knows about where he's going. 321A is hard to rank each year due to lack of information or lack of comparable competition.

3A = 10,014 students in grades 10-12, roughly the size of 7 6A high schools. I wonder what the REAL cost per student is in 3A vs 6A? It sort of makes those rankings look a little hoky.

1A = 5,140 or 3.5 6A high schools.
2A = 6,221 or 4.5 6A high schools.

So 321A = 15 6A High schools but we give out how many football state championships?

228 rooftops for the same number of kids we can educate under 15 rooftops. Smells like a waste of money to me.

Will, 17 regional high schools in 3/5 of the state would mean some kids would have to ride a bus for 6-9 hrs a day then be held at the school for 10-11 hrs. (practice time not counting competitions). So in a nut shell, some students would get home in time to get on the bus again.

That is almost as absurd as having 228 high schools. If we consolidated one half of the counties and schools in the west and southeast you could easily get to 70 counties and 150 schools. No one would drive more than 90 minutes to a county courthouse or school unless it was so sparsely poplulated that it was absolutely necessary. Many live where they live because of falsely created jobs or positions created by the government which waste our tax dollars. It isn't radical, it is called business. How many counties are there in Colorado? The 30x30 county was created when the mode of transportation was the horse and buggy. Those days are gone. There isn't an endless supply of money. People can skew the data and make it look like the cost to educate are fairly equal but common sense clearly tells you they are not. The overhead associated with 228 versus 17 schools would blow most of us away. If I had the time I would put together a spreadsheet outlining these costs comparing the 228 to the top enrollment high schools that equal out in number of students. The scary thing is that there is a huge waste of $$'s happening at the large schools too. We have become a society of the minority ruling. If there is the slightest chance something bad could happen then we need to create a rule, regulation, or system to keep that from happening, even if you have a better chance of winning the lottery we better protect you. If 95% benefit but 5% suffer then we better create something additional for that 5% or we aren't being fair. Our school systems have become textbook examples of socialism.

Can we let politics debate and solve political issues? Or should we just send Cokeley to Topeka and have him do his little presentation? If he does that, maybe Chief could spearhead the efforts on the world hunger issue, I heard thats still an issue. (only if you can find the time after you do your "rankings"

Lighty is one of those that has no helpful criteria to improve the rankings and then complains that the rankings are not accurate.

What did you mean by your first sentence? Do you work for the government?

Really Chief? I remember sending you a message about a wrestler from 321a who finished his senior season 39-1 with a state championship and that you had a 4a kid ranked in front of him that had a record of 33-7 and I believe finished 2nd. In that message I also remember telling you that the only time these two met up all season,the 321a wrestler won. It went unanswered and unchanged. Please inform me if head-to-head is not legit criteria. Also inform me if a season where a wrestler loses 1 out of 40 matches is not criteria. And if a state championship (although it was ONLY a 321a statechampionship hahaha) is not criteria.

Im am looking extremely forward to your response. You see theres no point in me supplying "helpful criteria" when you chose not to use it. smile Looking forward to another season though. Should be a fun ride.

Now we're talking. I looked through my 200 PM's and can't find that info. PM me with those names and I will be glad to answer that. To my knowledge I have NEVER left a legitimate criteria claim unanswered. Look forward to hearing from you.

Too remedial or advanced for me to comprehend. Do you work for the government?

321A and legitmate are oxymorons.

That's rich Moeder.
Obviously I wanted to say something about the "light weights" but I am trying to be a little on the DL. I really don't want to draw too much attention to myself. I just want to be like a consultant.
Thanks though.
But 103 to 130/135 does sound really juicy, or beasty, or something like that.
