Konnor Kriss would have to cut off a leg to make 125

Yeah I figured he would do that. Im sure a lot of wrestlers will probably drop a weight class before state. It seems to be the trend these days. Bo could compete with anyone at any weight though so why drop?

How big is he now?

Thanks Quagmire, your Pre-Season rankings list is cool. I love lists and stuff like that. I love Chief's list and it is nice to see another take. Do agree with what Chief said about the weights. Just looking at 135 and down, many of the kids will never make those weights. But it is good to get their names out and you obviously put some time and effort into your selections which I appreciate.

As for ReDPloyd's offer, I will bite.
Lincoln Lemon of Goddard has wrestled 21 of the kids over the last 10 years and has beaten over half of them. Based on Quagmire's list, he should be "ranked" at 130, probably 7 or 8. He beat one of the selections twice this past season and won the Classic this past spring in a bracket that had two of those "ranked" individuals. Additionally, Witten has moved to Oklahoma. Not too concerned about the "rankings" right now because he can earn that later although I feel he already has. He wasn't ranked last year in 6A going into state and he placed. But if all those other names are getting props, he certainly deserves that as well.

But again, awesome job Quagmire.
And yes, best wishes to all.
And Chief, can't wait.

Just because you place at State the year before, does not mean that you are on the top 10 list.
There are many variables in each weight class.

I believe Matt Schneider (junior wrestled 135 at phillipsburg) should be on your list at 140 or 145 (not sure on his weight). He placed 4th at Kid's state pinning JR Roman (ranked 10th 140), beat Dakota Hayes (placed 6th 145 4A), and beat Patrick Weaver (ranked 9th 152).

Uh duh.
Are you talking to me? Because if you are, I just gave you the "variables". Did you not read the entire comment that I made? If the kid has wrestled over 20 of the kids on the list in matches that I witnessed first hand, then I think that I am well aware of the "variables". I think when you have two victories head to head recently, you do not need any more criteria. That is a no-brainer. Unless you have an A beat B, B beat C, C beat A thing. Additionally, if you have beaten over 10 of the kids on the list then well....I am sure that is worth mentioning and would be considered a very important "variable".
I just mentioned the state placing thing to show that rankings don't matter in the end. In the end what matters is what you do at state. That is the measure and that is how you are remembered.
But hey, thanks for the info.

Yeah i have made a few changes on my list that I was gonna post tonight before Chief does tomorrow just to see how close i got to his rankings. I moved Konnor to 130 which made me decide to put Licoln Lemon in the mix at 25. One thing you learn as you do these rankings is you can't necessarily look at a wrestlers best tournament, his last tournament, or what he did at state the year before whether it was at kids state or high school state. You have to look at the overall performance. Also, wrestlers that put the work in over the summer should also have the nod over kids that did not, JMO. Like Tyson Schreiner said, there are many variables that go into how you rank kids, and you don't fully understand that until you have tried it your self

I apologize if my comment sounded rude. Let me just say that this was a comment in general. I am sure that you are correct in saying, that this kid should be ranked.
One of the variables that you mentioned was that he has beaten 10 of the kids on the list. That is out of 140 kids listed. I am assuming that the 10 kids that he beat are spread out over many weight classes since it has been ten years time. You also mentioned that he won a tourney with two of those kids listed, but you did not mention whether he faced either one of them.
With different wrestling styles involved,( this is a general statement), sometimes one kid can have another kids number, and still not be an overall better wrestler.

Look at who is above him:
Matt Reed- Fargo Runner up
Reece Conklin- Returning State Champ
Jake Delp - 3rd at 215 in 4a last year
Devon Keith- Returning State Champ
Spencer Wilson- Fargo all american (had to wrestle JV last year because Reece Conklin was his teammate)
Tyler Baughman- 3rd at state last year
Taylor Baird- 3rd place in Jake Hattabaugh's bracket at state last year.

Im not saying Jake isn't better than any of the above kids but you have to give credit to the kids who deserve it too.
