Greetings,
This is an exciting time of year and our team would like to share some information about the 2010-2011 Sprawl Nationals.

I have been asked to assist the at the Sprawl tournament in addition to assisting with the Park-City Classic. I am very happy to help both tournaments grow and develop!

Gate Fee:
There is no charge to enter the facility to watch the event!

Facilities:
We will be hosting our tournament in the new Hartman Arena complex located in Park City Kansas. If you would like you may take a virtual tour of the facility http://hartmanarena.com/. Mr. Hartman and his team do a fantastic job of helping us ensure that the facilities are first class.

Location:
The facility is located just off I-135. The location allows for easy access to the facility as well as hotels and restaurants in and around Wichita and Park City. http://hartmanarena.com/directionsandparking.html

Awards:
Like our tournament last year Sprawl will award our competitors top notch Trophies and Medals.

Format:
We will run a split session format. The split session format will allow us to control congestion within the facility while allowing the competitors to wrestle their bracket in the shortest amount of time.

TrackWrestling:
We will be utilizing TrackWrestling to manage the tournament. TrackWrestling will allow us to take entries and manage the event in a more effective manner. Family and Friends will be able to follow the competitor’s brackets throughout the tournament. You must sign up through TrackWrestling... http://www.twnode5.com/opentournaments/M...p;frameSize=500

Mat Size:
As allowed our teams goal is to place every competitor on the largest surface possible. Our goal is to wrestle every match on a full size surface. We will make every attempt within reason to wrestle the largest surface possible.

I would like to take the time to extend an invitation to your wrestling club to participate in the 2010-2011 Sprawl Nationals Wrestling Tournament.

Thank you for your time... We hope to see you there

Its been my experience in the past that when tournaments won't let you see the entries they are worried about numbers and whether they are going to be able to have the tourney.

They were being squirrelly about it last year too. And then moved the tourney altogether.
We have a 12u hwt ranked #3 by World of Wrestling and is on the All Star Team. Trying to find him matches is tough enough and not being able to see if there is anyone for him to wrestle against is a real pain; calling directors and sending e-mails just so we can find him a tournament that has wrestlers.

I don't see anyone trying to hide anything. You can go to track wrestling and enter the tournament. From there if you hit register now, then view matrix, you can see how many entries as well as entries per age and weight. The deadline is not until tonight so I would look for the numbers to increase througout the day. Most club presidents will send in entries after practice tonight!!

Takedown Machine:
I will have the time for the Paola weigh in worked out tonight. Tuff Hermreck (Paola) does a great job of hosting the weigh in.

Jeff and Namwen,
This is my first year helping the team that has put the Sprawl tournament together but their intentions are all great!!!

I have been the tournament director for the Wichita Classic for several years (I will be this year as well)... once teams started using TrackWrestling, the entries always come in late.

I am confident that our entries will be good and we will have great competition.

I know some of the competition is all ready great...of the teams that have entered we have teams from Lincoln Ne, Omaha Ne, and Oklahoma teams.

It is alwasy tough to get a new tournament up and running...but we have high expectations to serve the wrestling community well.

Some of the prob is the date as well, Edmond is a pretty big tourny on the same date. But I bet by the deadline tonight there will be plenty of entries.
