The clouds are looking ominous. I can see the camera flashes of lightening in the distance. I hear the mat slapping sounds of thunder nearby. The bow echo of frantic fans are forming to the west. It is just a matter of time before the unforgiving storm rolls east and envelops the entire state. It is go time, it is definitely go time!
I don't much care for the sounds of crickets. I would rather pull their legs off and feed them to the fish.
If I wanted to visit the morgue, I would, but I don't, so I won't.
If I wanted to listen to the Sound of Silence, I would put in my Simon & Garfunkel disc.
If I was looking for complete quiet (except for the inconsiderate jerks), I would visit the library.
I am looking forward to the roar of passion, the chaotic enthusiasm that defines the sport of wrestling, the insane battle cry of those who pay homage to the participants, the raging storm that swallows us whole and spits us out into little pieces. It is go time, it is definitely go time!
P.S. If you are an inconsiderate jerk, I apologize. Don't be offended, it just fit the theme of this post. Good luck to all the rest of the season. Wrestle hard, wrestle smart.

If you don't like the calm then you have to hate the mandated KSHSAA "DEAD WEEK"!!

If you don't like the calm then you have to hate the mandated KSHSAA "DEAD WEEK"!! No argument from me. I'm not much of a fan of downtime during the season. I watched a lot of the Walking Dead marathon over the weekend which kind of made for a "DEAD WEEK"end. At least it didn't last a week.
