Thanks to all for a great day of wrestling. We had a great turnout, with many novice following up on Sunday and getting 8-10 matches this weekend.
I hope everyone liked the new mat layout. It seemed to go very well, with better viewing from the stands.
One issue I have not cleaned up is getting the brackets back to the head table so I can post the results. So we will NOT be posting the placers, I simply have too many table brackets missing. We will try to do better next year.
One suggestion for clubs (Valley Center will be doing going forward due to a suggestion from Tracy Peterson), Once you enter your wrestlers into a trackwrestling tournament, download the entries and email out to all parents.... thus the parents have absolutely no complaint about a kid being mis-entered....they had their chance before the deadline to say something. I know this is one of biggest issues that keeps club representatives up at night and causes tournament directors much un-necessary work.
I do want to recognize a positive to our sport. I had 7-8 kids that were entered incorrectly (not pointing fingers on whose fault because it doesnt matter). Incorrect by age and by weight. These parents and coaches just said "we came to wrestle and get some matches". This sport is about dealing with whatever comes up, no excuses and every situation is an opportunity. These kids/parents/coaches are what this sport is about.
