We will be meeting and leaving from Topeka this year - the Middle School Teams have rented a meeting room at the Capital Plaza Hotel and are letting us use it to check in and hand out the gear, etc.. I will post a firm schedule in the next week or so.

I will need to know if your wrestler WILL NOT be riding in the vans with the team. I realize the meeting place may not be convenient for everyone - I need to know so I can keep track of all the kids. We MUST weigh in as a team so you will need to be in Fremont before the weigh in time - if you drive separate.

I also need to know if your wrestler is staying with you at the hotel or staying with the team - I will be putting together a rooming list and again, I need to know where all wrestlers are at.

The cost this year is $240.00. There is a link to the required forms on pages 6 and 8 of this thread.

I will get a coaches list posted next week and have additional info as we get closer.

Parents, watch the forum in the event there are some changes - every year, we have a couple injuries, etc that force us to scramble to fill the openings.

I want to thank Matt Treaster and the Kansas Kids Executive Board for providing money to cover part of the entry fees for this event.

They work hard behind the scenes to help improve Kansas Wrestling and I for one appreciate it.

This allowed us to reduce the fee a little from years past.

Do the subs still pay and go with the team

The alternates pay and get the same gear, etc as everyone else.

They have the option of staying with one of the teams and hoping for matches against other alternates from the oposing dual team - or, a better option that all of our guys have done in the past is to get on one of the alternate teams formed at the event. They then get to wrestle the same number of matches.

I do believe that Trai Warburton is in 6th grade out of Bonner Springs. I think that he went with the team a couple of years ago.

Mikey Waggoner will be riding up with his parents; let me know where we need to meet for weigh in.

Mikey would like to stay in the room with the team.

Logan Gugelmeyer and Hadley Panzer will be riding with their parents to Nebraska. We are planning on being there early enough to get checked in the motel before weigh ins. We just need to know where we need to meet the team. If we absolutely need to meet in Topeka, we can, but it's a little better for us to just head straight to Fremont from SW KS.

So what is the criteria for being/not being selected Dal? Just asking because we never have done this. I see many kids weren't even selected as alternates? Do you base selection off Track Wrestling ratings or records? Thanks

I can only take 3 alt per team - the coaches ranked all the alts and we started at top and went to number 12 -

There have already been some alts who do not want to go - I will be adding other names to the alt list
