Just an update on the 8 & Under 95 lb, Kendall Norrod from Carroll Jr. Wrestling who was injured at the Maize tourney today. We just spoke with his father, Rich, who asked us to let everyone know that Kendall is doing very well and is now resting at home. They were able to put his elbow back into place at the hospital, and do not anticipate any surgery will be necessary. They will be following up with an orthopaedic specialist later this week, but all indications are that he will not need any surgery.
Rich also asked us to pass along his very heartfelt thanks to all of the people who helped Kendall on the mat. From the paramedics who did an exceptional job keeping everything stabilized, to the people from Douglass and the many others who were very instrumental in keeping Kendall calm throughout the entire process.
Rich further asked us to send out a HUGE thank you to the Maize club. He said that the way in which they handled the situation was above and beyond anything he would have expected and that it means a lot to their entire family.
Thank you Maize for everything.
