I know that EKL used to be a round robin dual meet.

Some folk were sad when GE and BVW were added and the format changed. But why did it have to change?

Why not do a dual meet anyway?

Two pools of four - Top two of each pool move to semis wrestle two duals for 1-4 place.

bottom two of each pool wrestle for 5-8 place.

each team has no more than 5 matches.

Great job by GE on winning their 2nd EKL title.

The team race was exciting! down by 15 at the start of finals, STA came with in 7 after 120. GE had big wins down the stretch and won the title.

On a side note, I was jumping up in down in my living room watching Emilio Fowler of Gardner-Edgerton as he won a close one in the finals. A great kid who I got to know at the Middle School Duals in Iowa last year. Congrats Emilio!!!!!!
