The ottawa mat masters tournament on feb 18 and the 6 and under state on feb 19 are going to track wrestling this year. There are no satilite weigh ins. Weigh ins are feb 17 at the ottawa middle school from 630-8 pm and feb 18 at the ottawa high school from 6-8am for the 6 and under state weigh ins are 6-8pm on feb 18 and 6-8am on feb 19. Thank you and hope to see you all there.

Yes your son/daughter will have to weigh in for both tournaments a pound allowance will be aloted for the tournament on sunday if your child wrestled on saturday. also we are now allowing satilite weigh ins for the tournament on Feb 18. please have your weights for your wrestlers sent in by 8pm on Feb 17. Thanks

What is the email to send in satelite weighins? Do we need to let you know this is what we are doing?

On 6U State - could you clarify the ranking? It would be nice to know what you mean by A, B, C, D

Thank you looking forward to another Ottawa production.

I am guessing that the pound allowance will go for all wrestlers who are wrestling on the 18th and the 19th not just the ones attending the Ottawa tourn. on the 18th, But I wanted to make sure, as we have some wrestlers planning on going on the 19th, but participating in a different tourn. on the 18th. I am just wanting to make sure so we can plan accordingly.

In Response to your post, A - state placer, B - Usually takes first place, C - Usually takes 2nd or 3rd place, D - Usually finishes 4th or does not place.

For those young boys and girls that are wrestling on Sunday in the 6U State Championship will be givin a 1 pound allowance regardless of where you wrestle on Saturday, not just if you wrestle in the Ottawa Mat Masters open.

all you would have to do is ask. most coaches would be willing to help out. the kansas young guns will have 3 or so kids going so if you see someone with a kansas young guns shirt on just ask and we can help you out. heck i will coach him to lay on his back if he is wrestling my son lol.

I am one of the coaches from Ottawa and we have several others that will be willing to coach your child. I will be running these tournmaments this year. Come and find me when you get there and we will make sure that there is a coach at all your sons matches. My name is Richard.

Are you offering remote weigh-ins?
Top post says no, but someone asked where to email remote weights to. Just want to clarify either way.
Thanks!

Sorry for the confusion on my above post. I do see where you are now accepting remotes.
Thanks

I already see the potential problem that could arise with the extra pound on Sunday. For example that's say a kid always weighs 38 so he could sign up for 40 on Saturday, then come back and wrestle 37 on Sunday with the extra pound.

Not a big deal but clarification, does a kid have to wrestle the same weight on Saturday in order to get the extra pound on Sunday?

We have 3 boys going from our club to 6 under state. I wish we knew the clarification because for example my son weighs on average anywhere from 37.4 to 38.4.Never more then 38.4. I put him in the 40 lb weight class because I don't know how to explain to a child they can't wrestle if they don't make weight. Our other 2 wrestles are the same way so we moved them up a weight class. Is it to late to change their weight classes? Just asking new at some of this.. thanks

Are you going to list the entries, or can we view through trackwrestling? Thanks
