Capital Journal State High School Coverage

Bang up job the past couple weeks. It is nice to see something other than round ball covered this time of year. You'll find everything from human interest stories to coverage of day 1 of 321A. Thank you Capital Journal!

Yep they have an old KCK guy writing for them, Kevin Haskins, who did a marvelous job for us when he used to write for the Kansas City Kansan back in the day. We had some good teams back in those days at Schlagle, Harmon, and Wyandotte and he did a great job writing about those kids. He is a good one, and I bet he is a big motivator for them in keeping up with high school wrestling. He is really a friend of Kansas high school wrestling in general, and a very professional old school sports writer.

The coverage of the State Tournaments by the Capitol Journal the past few years has been greatly improved, especially coverage of 321A. It wasn't too many years back where you would only find a listing of the finalists from Hays. But i'm sure having Topeka area schools being successful has a bigger impact on their reporting than anything.
