Just a reminder to all District 1 Clubs that the seeding meeting is at Olathe East High School and we are to enter on the east side of the building. The doors will be open at 11:00 A.M. so be there at that time if you have any changes to make.
The entries have been released in track wrestling so go double check that all of you entries have been entered correctly. DOUBLE CHECK TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL OF YOUR WRESTLERS ENTERED if you don’t you may still enter them but will have to pay a $50.00 dollar late fee plus the $20.00 registration fee.
BUT REMEMBER THAT AFTER THE MEETING HAS STARTED NO ADDITIONAL ENTRIES WILL BE ALLOWED.

Also we will be signing up for volunteers to work tables for the District and State Tournament so please sign up so we don’t have to make calls for workers.

Good Luck and see ya Sunday

Clubs don't forget to include your wrestlers records and necessary information when entering into trackwrestling.
It will make the meeting much easier.

There was an error made to one of our kids records and we were unable to correct it because the statistician mode was locked out. Is there another way to fix it or will that be done during the seeding meeting? You can pm me or email me at demon357@yahoo.com and let me know if there's a way to correct it before the seeding meeting to make things go smoother

We have a similar situation and were told to make the corrections before the seeding meeting on Sunday.

All statisticians were locked out at 11:59pm on Wednesday, 3/1/2012. All additions and weight changes need to be made between 11am and Noon on Sunday.

If you have any gramatical errors or additional seeding criteria for your wrestlers email them to jrvikingwrestling@gmail.com and joe.knecht@gmail.com and we will try to get them added/changed before we pre-seed the brackets. Otherwise, those issues will be worked out on Sunday during the seeding meeting.

Unless I missed it we (District 1 South) didn't have instructions to enter records anywhere. It appears that no records were entered for any District 1 South entries.

At the seeding meeting tomorrow. Most seeding gets seeded at the seeding meeting. Thus the name of the meeting.

Is it possible to get rid of, change, or move the by-law meetings during the seeding meeting? Or at least offer them at the end of the meetings to where individuals can stay if they want to hear the new changes? There is always way too much time spent on other topics other than seedings. I understand official votes, and new addition to by-laws regarding the state tourney run, but District 1 I know for sure spent too much time discussing matters NOT at hand. Almost 5 hours sitting our rumps on a hard/unsupported/UN-backed bleacher was ridiculous and inhumane :), OK maybe not inhumane, but you catch my drift?

With the way technology is evolving, there should be online votes for certain by-law changes. Each club has a liaison, tally's the votes within the club, and reports back to, or enters their info in an online questionnaire of some sort. That way, 5 hours isn't spent talking about things that 80% of the crowd doesn't care to hear. Not being negative, but today's Dist 1 N meeting could have been cut in half, if not more...

Good luck at state everyone!!!

There's only so many chances we can get together to discuss business and seeding meeting are one its not mandatory to go at the beginning show up late. There's allot of behind the scenes stuff to running a district. And like I said getting together tough I go for the stuff and leave before the seeding is done plus most of the fights happen in younger divisions

Roughly 85% of the clubs in District 1 were represented at today's meeting. Not superb...but in contrast to the two Fall meetings (D1 and the State Body) this meeting had a much higher attendance rate. The Spring meeting is the perfect time to let the membership have their say and to disseminate necessary information. I do find it strange that some of the same people who say they don't care to discuss the bylaws, standing rules, and other business are the same ones that complain about how that business is conducted.

But can't the discussion be moved till after the seeding Mark?
