How come they did this? It was brought to my attn weeks ago that you could just go to groups & click on a age & weight & all the entrys were there untill yesterday. Ill bet the seeding meetings was a circus. With all the wrestlers running to softer brackets. Was this a mistake?? Or will they be posted in years to come? Good luck to all at state.

I'm still opposed to them being open except to each wrestler's own club director. But in answer to your question, the District 2 north seeding went as smooth as usual. How much movement was done prior is anyone's guess.

D3 was smooth, very little movement.

I am not sure what the big deal is about knowing who is in what bracket and moving around in the weights. Don't they do this in middle school and high school? I know they do it in college and olympics. They do it in mma and boxing. It's just part of the sport. Now, having satelite weigh ins for qualifying tournaments, I think that is a problem!

Satelite weigh ins would be a big mistake. we had several kids yesterday that got scratched from finger nails not being cut and a few kids that would have needed hair cut or skull cap to weigh in at hays. If the coaches are letting that past, which is minor how many overweight or skin conditions are they covering up also?

I think any satellite weighin, is fine, as long as a non partisan, official, or two, is overseeing it....Or someone qualified to make those calls...and make skin, hair, and nail checks a part of it. I believe an official can require hair cuts, nails cut, and for sure a skin problem, be taken care of at the mat............

There is a couple of kids I think my boy will have a better chance against if we use MMA rules. I think that Tom Richard could get this passed before state smile

which district is doing satellite weighins for qualifying tournaments? I think entries were released so clubs and parents can check and verify entries so they know to make changes before its late I did notice a lot of movement but I don't see a problem

Just enter your wrestlers by the deadline post it to everyone in the world and let them wrestle on Saturday. Not sure why this has to be a guessing/moving game.

Use a Certified Ref. with a Number on his arm for weigh in and do Nail/Skin/Hair check at the tourny. It Sucks for us that have to drive 1 1/2 hours to wrestle in district 80% of the year.

No satellite weigh-ins. Too much time, too much the kids put in for this time of the season just to be cheated out because a club wants to put their name up by having a kid put into a weight class that they don't qualify for or meet. Too much of this was done on alot of these tournaments and too many "changes" after the cut offs and the host site saying no changes, but then you see 5-6 changes over night just to be "Friendly". Sorry, if the kid can not make weight, they are scratched. Can't compete in the weight class they signed up for, lesson learned to make weight or learn to accept losing. My son has always weighed 2-3lbs lighter just to see his weight class and the next higher be combined and he goes out and wrestles. Win or lose, he wrestles and does not complain. Think it is time to start sticking to rules and our word instead of bending them.

I don't think anyone ever mentioned doing a satellite weigh in with OUT an official present. If an official or two is present, why would anyone be against satellite weigh ins?

I moved my kid in weight but not only due to the brackets. He finally admitted to me that he had been really hungry lately and I don't make mine cut weight. We discussed moving him up and he was all for it. Now that I have, he is already past the bottom weight for his class. This happened in two days. I beleive it was a good decision. We will see when it comes to subs and districts because we don't know anyone now. But, these are just kids we are talking about right, not professionals?
