All of the Seeding Meetings were held today. I see NO good reason why they should not be posted by now. The seeding meetings are over, lets see the brackets.

"Pair of what? Chuckleheads that can't follow directions or rules?????"

What rules? are they not allowed to post brackets until a certain time date etc...and if, not why not
why can't this "information be released to the public yet"

I know for a fact that they (DIST 1 N) said that they would be posted no later than 7AM Monday. Not a rule, but was told to us before the meeting. If they're complete... throw us a bone!

Sorry Beeson...no disrespect was intended by my post, but I couldn't resist; I took the bait. For those that do not know there was a coordinated release time set by the State Tournament Committee; that time is 7am Monday morning following the Sunday seeding meetings. You late risers will wake up in the morning and be able to pour every waking hour between then and Saturday morning scrutinizing and strategizing about who ended up where. I am sure the D2 leadership didn't scuttle this plan on purpose and it was just a miscommunication...I generally don't subscribe to conspiracy theories when it involves youth sports. The release times were to be coordinated so to avoid this topic all together this year. In D1, if your club director was one of the 85% who attended the meeting, you could have gotten most of your questions answered tonight by talking to them.

No disrespect taken. Believe it or not this is not the first time I have been accused of being a Chucklehead (not even sure what that is). blush The problem is us early risers will still have too wait 2.5 hours. mad I just figured that everyone should have been done with the brackets by 8:00 or so, and probably were. I did not know there was a release time. My apologies.

I wish someone would explain to me what the advantages might be to a district in releasing their brackets earlier than the rest. Why the need for an agreed release time?

Advantage? None that I can see, however I would expect an organization that manages the amount of money and provides a sport for the amount of kids it does, I'd suspect at least appearing as a unified front is in their best interest.

I'd think for that perception; being able to provide a consistent experience regardless of District, for all it's members would also be in it's best interest.

How many years have we heard District X has theirs up why doesn't District Y. It stands to reason that if everyone agreed to a specific time to release information it would cut down on that.

I'm also curious...what does a district has to gain by releasing earlier than a previously agreed time? That is other than the appearance of the need for an ego stroking.

Many things can happen between now and wrestling, weighins, kids sick, skin checks, etc. A lot of people put in many many hours to get your kids brackets done so lets keep it in perspective.

If one district cannot get their brackets up in a timely manner then maybe they need to build a better mousetrap. If they bow to the whining of a few lost souls then they need to get out of the business of running a district. If an action doesn't create an unfair advantage for one district over another then the Executive Council needs to stay the heck out of it!
