Thought I would update we had a wrestler Toby Grey 14U 120 today get his jaw broke in two places. Before it was discovered that his jaw was broke the ref thought he just knock out a tooth. Got the bleeding under control and Toby went back out on the mat and won his match.. Now thats to me took allot of determination.. This young wrestler didn't get to finish his day he is in Wesley Med Center and just underwent surgery two fix the two broken places on his jaw!! He is a WINNER in my heart keep him in your prayers he is so disapointed his year ended like this!! I know we will be seeing this young man do great things in his highschool career!!

That is a tough ending but a great story. Some of these wrestlers can do amazing things after being injured, before they really know the extent of their injury. One of our high school wrestlers injured his arm in the first period of the 3rd/4th place match at State. He finished the match and came out on the short end of the score by one. Later, it was determined by doctors that his arm was broke. Good luck on your healing process Toby.

I would like to say a BIG Thank you to everyone at Districts yesterday! Our son was injured during his last match with a shoulder dislocation, we had so many people that stepped up to help him and he was all doctored up before we even left for the ER. The wrestling community is so amazing and we are happy to be a part of such a big family! Thanks again to everyone that helped out, we truly appreciate you!

He actually broke his jaw in two places?!? Thats crazy!!! He knocked his tooth back and said his jaw felt weird/dislocated and we didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. His coach actually was going to call the match but the wrestler said no and wanted to keep wrestling. That really does suck his season ended as such I could tell he really wanted to be out there when I was reffing him.

Hey Butt-Head what did people do before they invented TV?
Don't be stupid Beavis there's always been TV, there's just more channels now.
Oh yeah, heh heh hehe... progress is cool. Heh hehe heh

That is one tough kid. I was standing there when it happened and you're right, there was no dought he wanted to be on the mat. I think it was handled as good as it could of been by everybody involved. It was a great job of officiating. Letting that young man finish that match will go a long way in the charactor building for his future. We wish him well in his recovery and look forward to seeing him in the future back on the mat.....
