Leavenworth High School has an opening in our 12 team Varsity tournament on Saturday, December 1st next season. We are looking to add one more tough team. Currently we have great teams from KS and MO.

It is a round robin tournament with each wrestler getting 5 matches. We split pool s into “A” pool and “B” pool. A pool would be for your state qualifiers and placers or returning varsity starters. B pool is for your starters who need experience but would not fare well against the A competition. There is no cross bracketing. We award a champion and runner-up for both pools in all weight classes.

It’s a great way to get a lot of mat time at the beginning of the year. Next year our tournament will run on trackwrestling. We have a great facility and run a smooth tournament. If interested contact Athletic Director Shawn Terry or Head Wrestling Coach Jay Johnston – Jay.Johnston@usd453.org
