On the way home from schoolboy duals and want to send a huge thanks out to some great folks that make this happen.....Tom Williams, Charlie Knox, Tyler Gonzales, Mike Medina, Mrs. Porsche and her sister, and Melvin. I probably forgot some folks so I apologize. These folks really work to make this a great event for our kids.

I need to take the time to send a very special thanks to one person who went way above in her support to these boys......Erica Wallace. Words cannot express the gratitude all of us have for her being our team Mom. She made sure we had food, medical supplies, helped wash clothes, and be a great mom to all of our sons. Most importantly she spent an entire evening in the hospital with one of our boys. Taking care of him as if he was her own until his own mom got there. I have been blessed to meet a lot of special people in my life and a lot of great people that support wrestling, but Erica is the most special individual I have had the pleasure to get to know. She is a very special lady that was our boys biggest fan and loved all the boys as her own.

Thank you Erica for all you did!

Shawn Budke

Travis Phippin helped coach my son at middleschool duals & schoolboy duals. Great coach & great for KS wrestling. My thanks goes out to all the coaches & parents mentioned in the above post too. I think my boy got 16 matches in 4 days. Its great to know that he had all these great KS coaches in his corner. I am sure that he is a better wrestler than he was when he left. My boy said that he won a close one & coach Knox lifted him up & was carrying him aroud the building.

Thanks, Shawn!

I loved every minute of it!!! What a great group of kids that were part of the team. To all the schoolboy team parents - your sons were great! They were all very polite and well behaved young men. You all should be very proud of the way they represented Kansas!

I wanted to thank all the Parents and Athletes! They were an awesome bunch to work with! The Coaches that helped with camp and the trip were great! Coach Knox, Coach Kelly, Coach Budke, Coach Phippen, Coach Butler and the Kansas officials that came in and helped our boys with the freestyle and greco routine. I really look forward to watching these boys compete and grow the next 4 years through High School!
