Is Cole Moses not ranked due to injury last year? I expected to see him ranked very high at 126. I am biased though.

For the most part yes. There are returning state placers that are not ranked at that weight.

One of the best wrestlers in our state changed his projected weight. I didn't want to hog such big news.

Chad some of them will step on the mat at the Fall Brawl, Super 32, Big Horn, Monster Match, Folkstyle Nationals and Tulsa Kickoff. These tournaments do shake up the rankings somewhat if they have great performances or head to head meetings.

Im curious as to what criteria Mies has over Ellis. Ellis took 3rd last year at 145 and Mies took 3rd at 120. It would make since to me that the upper hand might go to the wrestler returning from the heavier weight, if there is no other outstanding criteria one has over the other.

Good question. Mies is a 3x placer and 2x finalist. He is also a Junior Folkstyle AA at 138. Tyler is moving up in weight well. He went 4-0 in FS at the Junior Duals. They have both been on my traveling teams and in my opinion Mies has the edge. You also have to love Jake's positive attitude and work ethic. I expect both to have really strong years.

I understand 100%, but they do not justify daily changes. I was promised the rankings would only change weekly. Is it too much to ask to let the rankings set and be discussed before they are changed?

What is the profit of discussing a match-up at 138 when the wrestler reports at 145 or 160? Accuracy is always the best choice. When I receive solid information, instead of keeping it secret, I choose full disclosure.

FWIW, Chief puts up his Christmas tree in July and then spends the rest of the year re-decorating it several times a week.

A wrestler is reporting at 138-160. Is that really solid information? Doesn't sound like he knows where he is going. So why change the rankings for someone so unsure?

It is when his coach guesses 138 on September 3rd and then he personally calls me with his true weight.

True weight of 145-160? He is still just guessing.

Walking around at 160, flat out wrestling 145. He just needs to Alpha at 157. You know, a good ole Bulldog fighting weight plan.
