I think its about time to start handling this stuff the old fashioned way. These coaches, teachers, and priests need to be gutted and hung in the town square. Stop sticking up for these animals.

Mark,
I agree this is a horrible situation, but why do you have to throw the Catholic Priest in there. Myself being Catholic find this to be offensive. As far as I could see in the above article, it does not say anything about this guy being a priest or a teacher. We better start saying these bus drivers are animals as well now, since that is what this guy was doing.

As I said before this is a horrible incident, and I hope this sick individual pays for his crimes if he is found to have done this. But I still don’t know why you had to throw in the Catholic comment when in no way did this situation have anything to do with the Catholic priest.

On the other hand I also hope if these priest did commit crimes they pay for their crimes as well.

But please do remember it is not only Catholic Priest that have done these horrible things. This is one of many I found of other denominations that are not made as public as the Catholic scandals.

My concern on this thread is that to me it went off course. Did you read the article? We do realize this is one of our own? This was a D4 boy hurt by a wrestling coach! Someone that was trusted by him, his parents, his club and the sport of wrestling he betrayed that trust. What about other boys? Instead of being upset by how an angry man worded something why are we not asking, ,how is this boy, what can we do to prevent this from happening again, did we miss something. This thread should be about what we can help the state do to stop this not how someone worded something. So what can we do to help stop this????

Had he passed a background check?

Exactly! There "are" other boys. And alot of the victims would rather keep quiet because of embarrassment or what people might think. And if your a coach in the "good ol boy club" and have corrupt friends in high positions a blind eye might be turned. The whole thing makes me sick, especially when you have grown ass men sticking up for these monsters. Kill'em all and let god sort them out! Its always the same thing...."oh I've known him for years, he wouldn't do that"...and football coaches don't go trolling for 14 year old girls on the internet and BTK wasn't the president of his church! (and if it makes you feel better, BTK wasn't a catholic priest)

....and don't even think about threatening one of these perverts. You could end up with a restraining order. Right?

I am sure he passed the background check. It would be hard for him not to have and still coached. If they have never been caught before than there would be nothing in the background to check. I guess I am just at a lost at what else we cans do to protect our children.

Unfortunately people will go on like its an isolated incident and want to sweep it under the rug. That is just what these sickos want. No one wants to draw attention to our sport in a negative way because they care more about themselves then the kids that are getting hurt. And trust me there are some coaches that are following this post vary vary closely in hopes it will go away or people will loose interest. Just know that your days are numbered. Red, white, brown, black, catholic, Lutheran, Jewish, or coach of the year......doesn't matter who you are, your days are numbered!

Mark you seem to have taken this very personally, if you know someone hurting a child you should speak up. If someone has hurt you, you should speak up. They could still be doing it. No one should ever feel they are alone in this if there is one there is more.

Fortunately I've never had to experience anything like this but I know people that have. It has life long lasting effects. Suicide, depression......the fact that others don't take it "personal" bothers me.
