Who is welcome: All serious wrestlers that are interested in learning the proper ways to wrestle and win positions. Most folks assume that this program (Est 1999) is that same as their club practices. And though we have a lot of coaches in the KC area who were good youth and HS wrestlers that teach little league, the kids should get a more advanced version of wrestling from Purler Wrestling Academy. This is why wrestlers improve as such a rapid pace from attending PWA.
Note: Parents new to wrestling assume we (Nick Purler/St. Louis/Illinois/Columbia Mo) and Me (Tony Purler/KC area/Kansas locations) are and elite club only for advanced kids. This is not the case. PWA is open to ALL serious wrestlers, good or average, that want to rapidly improve at a fast pace, who are in need of High Level Coaching. Members will attend our 'supplemental' program, yet still attend their little league team, and compete for their LL team at meets. We are more of an academy/school, where kids learn to wrestle properly and learn a scoring system as opposed to a lot of conditioning and moves, both of which are equally important.
Great wrestlers Such as Mizzou's Alan Waters (4 timer Park Hill HS, Divison I All American), Ryan Mango (Stanford), Ryne Cokeley- Wisconsin, 4 Time KS State Champ, Drake Houdesheldt (All American at Mizzou), Nick Lester (AA at Univ of Okla), just to name a few, have grown up and learned to wrestle in our rooms.

Mondays Blue Valley SW High School Wednesdays St. James Academy
Sessions run from 6:45-9pm year round.
If anyone reading this knows of team members that seem to enjoy the sport but are in need of extra instruction I'd appreciate you telling them about Purler Wrestling Academy. So many parents don't realize we have a weekly developmental program, or assume we are a club. thanks!

What is the cost involved to come up every Monday? Also you said this is year round, so it is going on currently correct?

It's $85 per month and you can go to Monday and Wednesday sessions or just one night per week. That's up to you. Yes, the sessions are currently ongoing.
My son has trained with Tony for 4 years and has made great progress!

Tony Purler is a great coach and mentor for wrestling kids. I am so happy that my older son trained with him and can’t wait until my younger son can start in January. Thank you for your year long development program and camps.

The sessions are on a month to month basis, 85 a month tuition. We run year round, and do keep in a good group of quality wrestlers in the rooms who work to fit in wrestling during BB and FB seasons. But it's a month to month commitment. Kids are to attend one location a week once the rooms begin to carry a waiting list. But roughly from May-Oct, I encourage all the kids to attend extra sessions if they can fit them in. Few do this, as they are happy with their improvement of once a week, and this also allows for other sports. ALL ARE FREE TO TRY OUT A COUPLE SESSIONS to see how the program is run. I strive from big technical gains month to month, which is why the programs been successful the past 11 years. We don't do any conditioning or games, just the 'nuts n bolts' of our sport. Contact me anytime, as I don't get on the forums every day. thanks! 816-304-0313. tony@purlerwrestling.com www.tonypurler.com

2013 CK Nationals Results
Garrett Deason 10U- 5th Mason Cox 8U- 6th Kody Ketchum 10u- 3rd Xavier Doolin- 2nd Parker Bunch 10U- 6th Christopher Coates 8U- CHAMP! Jared Simma 10U- 4th Andrew Gamble 12U- 2nd Robert Weber 12u- 2nd
Alot of purler students were in the bubble match, or a mistake away from being an all american. I have a TON of great talent in my rooms right now. Most have trained hard thru the summer and are now NATL caliber, which is fun to watch. Congrats to all the Mo and Ks kids that did well at the meet.
