This weekend was a huge disappointment. 3 3A ranked kids were supposed to be in this class. Not one of them showed up. Marysville, Marion, and Doniphan West. I asked the Marysville coach where his wrestler was and he told me he was there watching but not competing. what happened? Waiting till after Christmas to get a couple pounds? Scared of competiton?
Thanks for ruining this bracket. Get your wrestlers a$$e$ out on the mat.

Seems to me that if you asked the Marysville coach where his 113 pounder was and he told you, you might have asked a follow up question as to why he wasn't wrestling? Or maybe you did and the answer wasn't what you liked so you thought you would come on this forum and make inane statements. I don't think anyone of those kids were "scared" of the competition. Seems to me if they were are ranked, it's not because they were afraid of competition. They have seen plenty of top flight wrestlers in their wrestling days. I'm sure they had valid reasons.

This is the kind of crap that shouldn't be on here. Who ever is monitoring this site should have already taken this down. Schreiner, Maybe you should talk to your AD about a tougher schedule if you're going to beat your chest all over these forms.

Tougher schedule. There were 3 ranked kids that were slated to be there in his is sons bracket and for whatever reason didnt participate in the tournament. What does the AD have to do with that? I am missing why you guys are getting indignant about Tysons post. Please enlighten me.

I understand the let down of not wrestling that bracket, but if he doesn't know why they didn't and it looked to me he was assuming they are running.

I have no idea who the kids are but thereare a ton of reasn why they may not be wrestling, some of which is out of their control, grades, injuries family matters etc.

If they are truly running (which he is assuming) well they will pay for it in the end.

There is nothing wrong with it at all. All he was doing was calling out high school wrestlers on a public forum about a tournament in December. Other than that it was a civil, well worded, inquary as to the status of a few high school wrestlers.

My guess as to why people are bothered by this post is although he didn't name individuals he did provide enough information for a person like myself to find out exactly who he was calling out. An adult really should not call out a teenager and say they are scared to compete.

Good points that I hadn't thought of. I didnt see him calling out kids. I saw him calling out coaches. At my sons school it is the coaches final decision on who wrestles. I guess things are different at other schools. Thanks Craig.

"Please enlighten me."???
That sounds like something Cokeley would say. Cavanaugh, he is calling out another program in public. I have a real problem with people who get on here and run their mouths. I just looked at Jeff West's schedule. If he's so concerned about the level of competition maybe he should bring it up with his AD, not call out other coaches online. It's obvious he doesn't know what the hell he's talking about.
Schreiner, save this crap for your twitter account, that way I don't ever have to see it.

Steve, I would be upset if I thought this could jeopardize our friendship:)
I am not saying these guys were running, I just doubt all three were legitimate reasons. Give me fourth with three good guys, but don't give me a medal for participation. Anyway, the sharks were hungry, so I threw out some chum.

Well yes you did imply they could be running. Funny thing is the Marysville kid is actually the one with the accomplishment in a state tournament. I am guessing you do not know Coach Frederickson at all, though it is hard to imagine a stranger going up to a coach and questioning him but if you know Coach Frederickson, you know from the days he wrestled for his dad at Plainville he would never run from anyone. What is really ridiculous is that now that he "dodged" the Mission Valley tournament he gets to wrestle Garden City, Junction, Holton and Norton among others at Clay Center next week. What a relief!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know what this comment has to do with anything. It is one reason why we were excited to wrestle this tourney.
