Can a kid move up a weight at regionals? I am not sure how the 50% of your weigh ins worked in terms of moving up instead of down.

50% only applies to the lower weight. You can move up all you want.

Yet another stupid KSHSAA rule. We are all alone on this one but we won't step out and allow six matches in a day. Frustrating.

Well if we are going to cry about stupid rules...let's add weighing in in the morning and wrestling that night. Weigh in one hour before the matches shoulder to shoulder like every other state in the union.

I really don't like weighing in the night before the second day on two day tournaments...

The funny thing is that I have heard the 50% rule was to help with seeding. Seeding isn't that difficult but we have too many trying to make it an exact science. Rule number 1 for a seeding meeting should ALWAYS be, Apply some common sense and be reasonable. It always becomes a chess game and matching of wits instead of worrying about separating the four best kids.

Weigh in:

Duals - 1 hour before

2 Day Tourneys:
Day 1 two hours before
**No night weigh in
Day 2 one hour before

1 Day Tourneys:
1 Hour Before

**All weigh ins on site of competition.

As far as the 50% rule. I could be because of the seeding meetings... I do not know.. However... I was under the impression they did not want kids wrestling 20 matches at 120 and then the week of regionals dropping to 113. I don't know on that one.

If there is. Second weigh in on two day tournament there shod be a limit of time between weigh ins.

14 hours like it was in hays is crazy.
