I have no clue but you might want to narrow it down to one or two of the 23 weight classes...

Too many things to factor in. Which Freshmen will wrestle 14U and which Freshmen will wrestle High School. Better yet, how many Freshmen will even wrestle kids club. If the Freshmen do wrestle 14U, it is almost impossible to figure out what weight they will be wrestling. Most have been pulling a fair amount of weight in High School, much more than they will be willing to pull for Kids Club. Impossible to make predictions.

Anyone know what the numbers are, over the last couple years, of freshman that wrestle 14u for the State series after wrestling HS?

Freshmen dont "come down" to 14U, they wrestle their age group.

Go to track and look at last years results, that will give you an idea of what was there then, no promises if it will be the same this year but it gives you an idea... full bracket...half bracket

Too many factors to take into consideration, like Chad said. Kids club is way different than high school. Until high school state is over the moves won't happen. But how many will wrestle high school to challenge their abilities, remains undetermined. Some could be loyal to club, and wrestle 14u, looking for team points. Remember this is where they came from, to get where they are today.

So if you have a 14 year old freshman that this was his 1st year wrestling and was 2 or 3 deep on the depth chart are some of you saying they should still wrestle HS?

I think that anyone, HS State Champion to a first year wrestler should be able to wrestle 14U if their birthday permits it. I'm looking forward to several match ups that my 8th grader will possibly have. No better way to get in the High School rankings than to beat a State Placer. And if we lose, nothing lost, as far as everybody else is concerned we were supposed to lose. All the pressure is on the High School kid to beat the little 8th grader. So I say, Let's Wrestle.

I would say if you make it to state as a freshman you should wrestle highschool. if you didnt but wrestled varsity you need to think about it. if you wrestled jv then i would personally wrestle 14. thats just me.

I would say that if you are in the age range that you can wrestle 14U then it is your choice. I would think that most HS state placers would wrestle HS division on their own, but some may decide to wrestle their own age division which is their choice. That is why we have age groups. Just my opinion.
