Why do we have people in charge that don't have kids wrestling anymore? Shouldn't they move on and give the job to someone that has kids still wrestling. (District Directors specifically)

I think a changing of the guard is good, but I plan on helping at a different level, when I'm older and don't plan on continuing to coach in several years of course.

I can see the point here, but on the other hand sometimes people that dont have kids currently involved are the best for the job. Many times if somones son or daughter is involved in sports they dont have the time to put in the work that needs done to run a club or district, as they will be (and should be) focused on supoprting their child. I know that you are specifically talking about directors, but I for one have been involved with our club for about 11 years, and been the president of our local club for about 3 yrs, and I do not have a kid in wrestling. So I feel you can look at this many different ways.

One thing to remember is that if you want someone out as a director run against them, as far as I know most of these positions are voted on.

There never is an abundance of names on the ballot.

I agree. And the reason is, it is alot of work to run a district. I know I dont want to be a district director at this time, so I wouldnt put name on a ballot.

I agree with passing the torch that for sure. I do appreciate what the current board has done for Kansas wrestling but like everything we need change. I know CHANGE has created a lot of static here in D2 but at the very least we aren't doing the same ole' same ole'. I hear rumors of more change and good things to come in the future for Kansas wrestling, but if change is going to happen we need new blood on the board.
