Great job today by the Carroll crew. It was nice having the kids wrestle on all full mats except for mats 1&2 being half mats which is still much better than 1/4 mats. Ran smooth and on time. Only thing I can see to make it better is have a hospitality room for coaches. Haha. Again good job Carroll crew.

And most of the brackets had 4-5 matches guaranteed. 6 man brackets were round robin, 7 man and above were scramble format. Too many tourneys make 5 man brackets into an 8 man dbl elimination with a bunch of byes. I think they are worried too much about getting people out early, instead of mat time.

Carroll still had us out by 4 or so.

If was a great tournament. I loved the 8 person scramble idea. I hope to ask our club directors to add it next year.

Thank you very much for the positive feedbacks!
It is greatly appreciated! We heard ALOT of positive things regarding the "scramble" format we utilized and most everyone seemed to appreciate the "mat time" this format afforded the wrestlers against some of the toughest clubs in the Metro Area, along with a few tough Clubs that drove quite a few miles to attend! Wasn't a huge tournament but the "quality of opponents" and "mat time" sure appeared available by all the feedback we heard! We'll do our best to see if we can make it even "bigger" & "better" next year, but I've got my hands full to get the "hospitality room for coaches" accomplished Jeremy Molloy! LOL! Thank you ALL who attended, we look forward to seeing you AGAIN, along with anyone else interested in attending our tournament when we hold it AGAIN next year!
Thanks again,
Carroll Wrestling Club
