Four Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College wrestlers from Kansas placed this past weekend at the Maryville-Kaufman/Brands Open in the amateur division. Curtis Burnett-Independence (133) placed second going 3-1 on the day. Jacob Hill-Augusta (184) also placed second going 3-1 on the day. Placing third was Logan Terrill-Arkansas City (125) going 5-1. Finishing sixth at 165 was Saul Ortiz-Wichita going 4-3 on the day. NEO entered 29 wrestlers and placed 14 in the top six, earning three titles.

Great Day for NEO, one of two junior college's (NEO & Labette) at the tournament with 24 four year universities attending. Another day of tough matches for Juco wrestlers competing against bigger colleges. Congrats to all the placers from NEO and great job to the prior Kansas wrestlers competing this Sat.
Show up on Wednesday at 7:00 and support all these Kansas wrestlers as Northeastern Oklahoma travels to Parsons Kansas to compete against Labette Community College in a dual format and get to watch several Kansas kids hook it up in a NJCAA dual.
