Dear Kansas Wrestling -
The Burlington Open/Novice Tournament is setup and available on TrackWrestling!
We will be hosting our annual event on Sunday, January 17th. We will close at 450 registrations as we have in the past. This along with 11 wrestling surfaces and 14 officials allows us to start on time and have most families out the door between 2 and 3 p.m.
We use competitive Round Robins focused on getting most wrestlers 3 matches with wrestlers of equal ability. This tends to create some very competitive brackets for wrestlers of all skill levels!
We give nice looking medals to the top 4 placers. Fastest Pin Award in the Open Divisions. A Sportsmanship Award to the Club, Wrestlers, Coaches and Fans that do a great job of modeling the BEST our sport has to offer!!
We also do a Club Championship Competition where each club selects 2 wrestlers per Open Age Division to compete for Team Points based on their individual finish!! The Top 3 Scoring Clubs win a Team Trophy!
