Rephrase....looking for total amount of wrestler cards purchased per club for 2016 season? Not tournament entries.

That would have to come from Kathy Juby at the state office.

I'm curios about participation numbers in our "larger" clubs in the state? Approximately how many "open" wrestlers attend practices for these clubs???
Young guns?? Maize?? Blue Thunder?? Sunflower?? Salina?? Manhatten??

And what about now that we are at the beginning of the state series??
How many kids are these "larger" clubs anticipating at an "open" practice this next week?? This question is coming from a club who struggles to have partners this time of the year. And wonders how much better the quality of our wrestlers as a state would be if we didn't water down our practice partners due to every small community/town having a club??

I'm not completely sure on our "open" numbers during the season, but at Maize we're anticipating somewhere around 35 kids in the room this next week preparing for districts. We had a large bump in our team numbers after the conclusion of the middle school and high school seasons. I think we averaged somewhere around 15-20 kids during the regular part of season in our advanced room, however our room was quite a bit smaller this year compared to years past. Hope this helps.

I believe our total numbers were down this year as we are generally over 100 total wrestlers in our practice rooms and we were around 90 this year. We took almost 70 to our own open, but are taking 38 wrestlers to subs tomorrow.

I would like to add to my question...how many other clubs are within a 15 minute drive of your practice room?? We have 9 clubs within a 15 minute drive with 136 entered in districts. 30 kids from one club is the largest club. We are in district one where geographically we are all relatively close, but I wonder how much better our wrestlers as a whole would become if this club/wrestler ratio was more around the 2/3 clubs for 136 kids. Guaranteed more partners and more competition in the practice room...??

I have always thought there are to many clubs. Gets tough as kids grow or quit then a club might end up with kids that are far apart in weight makes practice hard.
