DESHAZER AND ORTIZ GO 4-0
Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College finished second at the National Dual Meet Championships in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Two Kansas wrestlers were undefeated at the two day event for NEO. 133 lbs. red shirt freshman Sean Deshazer (Wichita Heights HS) won all four of his matches and is now 14-0 on the year. He defeated current #2 ranked Blake Walker, Ellsworth CC 3-1 and three other wrestlers. Saul Ortiz 174 lbs. (Wichita Northwest) sophomore, defeated current #1 Jordan Gundrum, Ellsworth CC 9-3 and three other wrestlers. Gundrum was defeated in the National Finals last year by NEO 2X champ Jacobe Smith. Logan Terrill, Ark City, went 2-2 in the duals at 125 lbs. 141 lbs. Curtis Burnett, Independence, did not make the trip to the duals. NEO defeated Northwest Kansas Tech, Western Wyoming College, and Ellsworth Iowa CC, before being defeated by Clackamas, Oregon in the finals.
