My name is Dylan Loyd born and raised here in St. Francis, KS, and now coach here while helping run the family farm. Some of you may know me and others may not. I rarely post but, a couple of weeks ago my family was dealt with a nice shot in the gut. My little two year old nephew, Jackson Reese, was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and will begin very heavy chemotherapy treatments tomorrow morning. The Loyd's have and will always be a wrestling family and we know how wrestling families' work; we always have each others back and when one hurts we all hurt. That is one of the many things that make this sport great. Throughout my wrestling and now coaching career this sport has blessed me with tremendous relationships and friendships that I will forever be internally grateful for. I do not ask for money; but as a Believer I ask for prayers for my nephew, Jackson, and his parents, Josh and Dara Reese as they go through this battle together. As my dad told me countless times as I was a competitor, "Take it one match at a time, and don't ever look ahead." We know God's plan far exceeds our own, and we trust in Him as we all go down this road in which He leads. I thank you for your prayers, and for anyone who would like to follow Jackson's progress and journey their is a facebook group called, "Jackson's Journey". Best of luck to you all as regionals approaches, and let us all be reminded that whatever happens, whether we attain that goal we set months/years ago or if we fall short, that Our God will Forever Reign. Thank you and God Bless you all my Kansas wrestling family!!
