It is completely wrong to let kids switch weights after entering for subs/districts. You have your districts that have subs that had no idea who they would end up with until after entering . Then you have those districts that posted a wrestler list and the other districts posted the brackets then all the sudden kids are switching weights. That is total crap! Do a matrix if you must but now you have kids switching weights based on who they think they can beat, while the kids that have subs are stuck where they are. This needs to be the same everywhere. What are you teaching your kids running from competition?! This needs to be addressed. I have seen this from several kids already!! Go back and make them stick with what was originally entered or let the rest of the districts/ subs re-enter as well!

I am all for not entering into a weight division just a age division. Then after weigh ins break them out into the weight brackets. Hard to run or try for an easy bracket if you don't know what weight kids will be wrestling at.

The whole state really needs to get on the same page with it all.

I said it on another post. But you are totally correct. ALL DISTRICTS should close registration at the same time. It is disappointing to see what is happening in District 1. Lots of kids jumping weights...sometimes even 2 weight classes.

It's really this simple greendog. All registrations end at the same time. Period. Then you can have your subs or just district whenever you want. This feels really mickey mouse like the way its currently run.

Yep real sad how things are being done.District one is the only one with out the names up. Is this so they can change weights as they fill. No matter what, people will do every thing they can to get an advantage. I like the way Rossville did there tournaments. Enter the age.Get weighed the day of the tournament.

District 1 has their list up and I've seen a lot of weight changes in District 2 in our weight class but none in our own district

Your coach can also change your wrestlers weigh class while he is at your seeding meeting after he has a list of wrestlers.
