Qualifying tournament for TEAM KANSAS Elementary School Dual Teams going to
Council Bluffs, IA on April 13-15, 2018
Age 1st-6th grade, must not be 14 or over at the time of the event.
We will be taking 6 teams to Iowa plus alternates

Weight Classes: 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 112, 120, 130, 140 and 160
NO WEIGHT ALLOWANCE WILL BE GIVEN

All matches will be 1 ½ periods

How can a club become a satelite weigh in location?

We will be wrestling for 7th and 8th place in the Elementary qualifier.

The seventh place finisher will have the opportunity to go as an alternate - or will be the first wrestler to move up to one of the six teams in the event one of the top 6 placers can't go. If the 7th placer doesn't want to participate, we go to the 8th placer, etc

I will hand out the information and required paperwork to the top 6 placers in each weight class at the awards podium. Parents, make sure you get this from your wrestlers. See the 2018 USA National Elementary/Middle School Duals thread for additional info

I will need an email address for each of the top 6 placers. Parents, once your wrestler makes the semifinals, please come to the head table and provide an email address (or send it to me via my email). Once the 2 additional consolation semifinal wrestlers are determined, those parents should then come to the head table and provide their email address

Also, this tournament is one bracket with no age groups. There is no weight allowance given. You will be required to wrestle in the weight class in which you qualified - no moving of weight classes after the tournament.

All coaches will have to pay to enter the event. On Sunday, coach’s bands will be available in the arena by the t-shirt booth. MUST HAVE BRONSE CARD!!

Can wrestlers change weight at weigh ins?

They can go up only!!

FYI The address to the Bobcat wrestling room is 3102 N. 155th street Basehor KS 66007. We will be having weigh ins at our practice facility which is the old brick school building on the corner of 155th street and Leavenworth Road (Basehor KS).

FYI for the Topeka site. This is not a wrestling room or a high school facility, it is a public facility. Last year we had issues with parents and questionable weight cutting methods happening on site, if those occur this year you will be asked to leave and find another weigh in site.
