Amazing, heartfelt moments.
Before the event on Friday and Saturday about 200 folks knelt in prayer led by sophomore Gideon Remer, representing wrestlers for Christ. The entire gym went silent to respect the young folks on the mat!
The gym erupted to thank the veterans, first responders, police and firemen and their families.
2 Sabetha wrestlers, the Ukele brothers were recognized before the finals. They lost 3 family members in a horrific accident on the way home from winning state football. They stood tall and proud in the middle of the mat under the spotlight, as the crowd observed a deafening 42 seconds of silence followed by a standing ovation. Two outstanding young men, and of course the best fans on earth, wrestling fans!!
“It’s a great day to be alive”. Paid tribute to Jeremy Streumph. His happiness, his joy, his dedication continues to move many.
For anybody that reads this please put Cody Lambotte, (Rossville), on your prayer list. With his unmatchable spirit and your prayers, he continues to fight for his life! He continues to help kids every day of his life!
Thanks to so many that helped run a great tourney. Thanks to the great fans of wrestling!
