We are hosting a high school dual tournament on the football field at Ottawa University June 8th. I am considering keeping the mats down and having a kids event the next day, Saturday June 9th. Takedown tournament, full mats, college out of bounds rules. With it being baseball season etc... how many might be interested in coming. Let me know if you or your club would be interested in attending.

I’d definitely bring my son, hard to say how many in his club (20 or so still practicing) would come, a few play baseball too.
Osage City’s late summer tournament seems to draw well for an off-season tournament. Never really know but I think the interest is there, summer tournaments are few and far between.

I once wrestled in an outdoor freestyle tournament in Wichita during the really hot summer day of Kansas and I will say it was a terrible experience. the mats burned like hell after baking in the sun. It was no fun getting gut wrenched and smooshed into those lava mats

My advice, do it during sun down with the football field lights on

Hey Butt-Head what did people do before they invented TV?

It's early June and in my experience it doesn't get that hot. We tried it under the lights last year but it was too wet that early in June.
