This information may be somewhere and I probably missed it but do girls have to wear hair covers during girls only competitions or does braided/pulled back hair work? I'm just needing to know for ordering reasons...

Per the online rules meeting rubber bands, braids, etc are legal and hair covers are not required as long as the hair meets the collar/ear/rule. Beads or anything abrasive are still illegal.

The fact that girls are forced to wrestle at state in the middle of the week is laughably sexist.

Thank You! I was hoping I didn't have to order a bunch of hair covers. That helps. I appreciate it.

However, Lentz mentioned at the KWCA meeting, if the hair becomes noncompliant: the first time the girl (or boy) is given time to fix it, the second time it is treated like improper equipment and injury time will be started (I am guessing a point for the other wrestler). As a result, my coaches will have a headgear that is easily adjustable with a hair cover and if the hair comes down the first time, the girl will put on the hair cover and other headgear.
