Good prediction on ending time. I think it will be later than 11pm, but close to 11pm.

I revise my time prediction. Looks like KSHSAA changed their mind, and moved all rounds except finals to 3 mats. The second round will be two mats for semifinals and the 3rd mat will start the consolation quarterfinals round. Once semifinals are complete all 3 mats will be used for consolation quarter finals.

I thought the same. Then refreshed it. KSHSAA changed it sometime on Tuesday I think.

Here are my 321A predictions:

• There will be approximately 71 Tiger’s Blood snow cones consumed
• Some hometown fans will yell “TWOOOOO” when it is clearly not a takedown because the opposing wrestler has a whizzer in to defend the shot
• The announcer will butcher 3 or more names during the finals introductions
• “The Eye of the Tiger” will be played before the finals show, otherwise I would expect “Lose Yourself” by Eminem like they did for some strange reason in 2009
• The elastic on 44 pairs of socks will get worn out because kids keep rolling their socks over their warmup pants
• One team will bleach their hair blonde and it will drop the quality of their performance by 10% collectively
• Taco Shop will be packed during the 30-minute dinner break
• A wrestler in the finals will wear some old school gear from the 1990s because that’s what their father’s team wore
• Hoxie will have the largest crowd and will score more team points than the next two teams combined
• A finals match between Tra Barrientes from Sylvan-Lucas and Dane Whalen from Osage City will be the only time two undefeated wrestlers from cooperative schools meet in a match at State
• More wrestlers will place from the West Sub-State than the East Sub-State and we’ll hear about it on the forum for at least a month that KSHSAA needed to divide things up differently
• The Smoky Hills broadcast will feature graphics created during 2006
• The finals will end around 9 pm, based on the latest schedule from KSHSAA

I will throw this out here. It is my bold prediction of the tournament. The Western Sub-State will have at least 50 medalists.

Every year Malay you complain about East vs West yes the West is always better. Good thing your not good at predicting things. My count 40 medals for the East and 44 for the West. 6 champs from the East and 8 from the West. I could be wrong. I didn’t see a single Wakeeny kid at the tourney maybe some other things to work on instead of suggesting every year what KSHSAA should do. Hoxie was unreal for a 120 students in that high school. Amazing and congrats to them.

Is it me or does the public address announcer get worse and worse every year? Right before the finals with all the awards and the introductions of the finalists, it looked lke it was not planned out at all.

Would love to have been there to know for sure, but hard to imagine it could be much worse than it has been the past 5 years.

I know it is hard to believe, but he does get worse each year. This year, for example, when the 182 # championship match was ready to be wrestled, the Hoisington kids name was Joshua "BELL", and he said it more than once.

First off, I never took at shot at you or your team personally. Trego had a down year. No excuses to be made. The East wrestled well, the West underperformed and had a few big injuries. I was wrong on my predictions. I do them for fun. The forum is boring anymore. Just trying to liven it up.

It was pretty bad. They started with #170 and my kid came running out, they shook hands but not a word from the PA announcer. I thought he might introduce them as they were coming out, but nothing. He also got the info wrong when he did give the info. I heard him introduce Rodriguez, but he was giving Prochaska’s bio. For people in the stands it would be helpful to hear the correct info. As for your predictions, I had exactly the same as you, which goes to show your high aptitude of wrestling knowledge and intelligence you have since you picked the same as I did. It’s all in fun, I wish more people would have put their predictions on here. Other then the mat swapping in the beginning and the PA announcer at the end, it was a smooth tournament. If they ever combine us all up and move us to Wichita, I’ll not be happy. GMC and the city of Hays do a great job

We need to have a reunion of the #forumOGs

It is time to bask in the beauty that was monster truck avatars.

Rekindle the flames that once burned for the R.A.O.S.

Remember that first initials should start your last name and last initials should start your first name.

Recall that a JV State championship is just as prestigious as a Varsity State Championship. (It is not. That's like saying winning the Xfinity Series is as prestigious as the NASCAR Cup Series.)

Take stock in hijacking the forums to talk about the finer things in life like the Taco Shop Challenge.

Bicky Robby, you best BELIEVE I’ve been planning on bringing back the TACO SHOP CHALLENGE once this 1ovid-C9 mess is all over.. Something tells me that Ross 220 from Wichita NW can put away some tacos, the over under on tacos in Vegas for him is currently 18 #forumOGs
