It is dark and not like the comics at all, even darker than the last series including the one with Michael Keaton. The audience even applauded at the end of the movie tonight, of course most of those were batman fan's, the real batman, not the funny one.

thankfully no, he wasn't.
also give christian bale props for slimming down to 135lbs in The Machinist, then right after that bulking up to around 210lbs for Batman. he was awesome in American Psycho so i knew that he could pull off playing a dark character like Batman/Bruce Wayne.
