Here is an early look at some of the weight classes at the Bobcat Classic. I have included some of the top records as of (1-10-2006) and the order they are listed in does not indicate what seed they will get. We'll let the coaches have some fun and sort that out. Do not get offended if your name is left out. There are too many outstanding wrestlers to mention everyone. 48 returning state placers are entered.
*ONE FURTHER NOTE. . .Glenwood is currently ranked #2 as a team in Iowa. The team race will be extremely interesting when you add them with the eight Kansas schools that are ranked in the top five of their respective divisions. There are 13 teams to total that are ranked in the top ten. IT WILL BE A WAR!

Quick fixes...Irvine (not Itvine) at 171
Also Arveson has one loss...I'll double check the record of wins though.

Win/Loss records wise, 152 looks tough! Six undefeated wrestlers and the twelfth best record is 11-3. WOW

135, 160 and 171, with their 8, 7 and 8 mentioned wrestlers, respectively, all have two or less losses. Looks like those will be good as well.

I'll give odds that none of Silver Lakes wrestlers come out undefeated.

I'm not much into this web talk. But the Hasse and Slyter match should be a pretty good one.

I like Arveson's shot at making the finals for the Irish the best. I wouldn't be surprised if Irvine finishes around 5th. Espeseth has been wrestling well as of late but this is a different beast all together...still he might finish low on the stand or just barely on the outside looking in.

My prediction for this tournament is that Hat Town wins Newton on the first day, then their wrestlers will be given byes to the finals on day two of the Bobcat Classic. They will then pin their way through 215, at which point Jhris Cennings will explode out of the locker room doors and announce he has one more year of eligibility.
The entire state will quiver in fear.
Cennings will then be tech-falled and Manhattan will be given the team title.
P.S. How many Paynes are there? Does Paola have a labratory to keep producing them? Does the KSHSAA know about this?

Go to KWCA and click on Basehor brackets or Basehor tournamnet, something to that effect. I do not think they are up yet though.

Does anybody know if the radio announcers from Glenwood are broadcasting the event this year?

Anybody have the results for 119 or the team scores? Everything is updated on their webpage except those 2 items.

Nobletfrom Paola beat the kid from Glenwood in 2 OT in semi and Bahe won his semi at 119. Team scores I am not sure of I know STA was winning when we left.
