During the day you could hear in on KLOE Goodland am730, if Oberlin had been in the tourney you could have heard it on Oberlin fm stream. NW Kansas may be softening their grip on wrestling dominance in Kansas, but the sport gets more respect there than anywhere else, even if they don't go to Fargo or any of the other "special" events, as a rule. in addition, they tend to produce when the chips are down in folkstyle, as in last years senior nationals, the hyped guys got nothing and the only two placers were NW guys.

Wrestling in NW KS is king and the merchants in these small communities shell out a lot of coin to have their teams on the airwaves. Big props to those merchants.

Also agree. Fig Milan is very good. Paints a very clear picture of the match.

KLOE radio usually has old timers Duell and Bahe. Not as good of play by play coverage because they start sharing stories about the good old days, but boy are the stories good and they usually let you know who won the match at some point.

Oberlin's coverage lacks a lot of polish, but certainly worth tuning in for. Do know wrestling and are at several events and that is worth a lot. I think at the NWKL, Beloit, Regionals and State. Plus it is streamed on the net for everyone to hear.

Gabe Jenkins and Mike Manning (aka Mike Holliday) also cover a lot of wrestling on Y102.

Our 189 lb'r was not Brandon Cowan, it was TJ Hawkins, a freshaman with very good potential. Brandon Cowan broke the small bone in his ankle last weekend and will be back the latter half of Janurary!

Ummmmmm......hate to tell you this, but pretty sure Scott City took third. Champion of Pool A, Champion of Pool B, and Champion of Pool C = 1st, 2nd, 3rd. If Goodland won your poll, the best you could have done is 4th.

Guess the laugh is on you for not even knowing what place your team took, huh?

I was not impressed with the Sprigg vs Miller match. I thought both guys are overhyped. I was impressed with the Norton and Goodland teams. As young as Goodland is they will only get better as the year goes on. As for Miller and Sprigg They were not even the best heavies in the gym that day.

My opinion, Sprigg has never impressed me, but seems to always get it done in the end.

Here is the link for Norton's Wrestling coverage. I know this was the link for the FB games, and I think it is the same for wrestling.

http://www.kqnk.com/

They really do a very good job.
