I would like to personally thank everyone who was so thoughtful and considerate this past weekend at the state tournament. My mother passed away on Thursday Feb. 26th as I was headed to Wichita. I was unable to attend the first day of the tournament, but my assistant coaches: Dave Sprague, Kevin Brown, and Dan Cyre did an excellent job without me. My biggest thanks go to those three. My appreciation is extended to all the coaches, officials, parents, friends, and even wrestlers from other towns who offered condolences. This is because we all come from one big family, the wrestling family. The greatest sports family that has ever existed. Consider this one big Thank You card to all.

Sincerely,

Doug Moore

Coach, I saw you at state but didn't get a chance to speak with you like we did at regionals on a few occasions. I'm now just learning of your situation and am deeply sorry to hear about it, you have been probably one of my favorite coaches to watch over the years with your knowledge and animation during the matches. I send all my best to you and your family on your loss, and may God Bless.

Yours in wrestling,

Coach Moore I know you mean it when you say one big family. Though we did not have the best of relationships when I was in High School. When I did not go out for wrestling my senior year I know it hurt you, But you never showed any disrespect toward me in fact it was the opposite. I still remember you coming to our Legion games and supporting us in all we did. What you did show me was how to be a coach and a teacher which I have to recall all the time. Thank you. The Hartshorn family Prayers will be with you during this time of mourning.

Sincerely,
Brock Hartshorn
