Nash Burtin got wins 99 thru 102 at state this year to put his overall record at 102-11 with 8 of those losses coming in his freshman year. Nash has overcome a lot of adversity in his life to get where he is at, and his mother and I could not be any prouder of the way he handles himself, win or lose, both on and off the mat. Congrats to all the other new members of the 100 win club.

Who else is in the 100 win club? Name yourselves.

I'm going to assume that Jeff Peterson is already in the club.

We "100 match winners" should meet at Arby's or Freddy's Frozen Custard (it's new in Hutchinson) sometime and shoot the breeze.

fris,

You weren't ready to wrestle before 7th grade.
Your attention span was too short then.

I remember when you played baseball the summer after 6th grade. I had to move you from shortstop to first base, because you would sit down and start playing in the dirt if the ball didn't come to you every time. At least you had to pay attention at first base because they would throw the ball at you on just about every play.

Looking at the brackets from the last four years Grater and Taplin are very close on wins and losses.

Grater - Fr. 32-7, #130, 6th place at state
So. 38-0, #140, 1st place at state
Jr. 36-0, #145, 1st palce at state
Sr. 37-0, #145, 1st palce at state
Grater had two pins at the state tournment his senior year and a 5-1 dec. and a 8-3 dec. at state. That leaves Grater's career recored at 143-7.

Taplin - Fr. 33-5, #145, 5th place at state
So. 36-1, #152, 1st place at state
Jr. 34-0, #160, 1st place at state
Sr. 41-0, #160, 1st place at state
Taplin had three pins at state and one maj.dec. 14-5. That leaves Taplin's career recored at 144-6.

Cole Caylor has around 110 wins. I'm all about the meeting at Freddy's. It was torture not being able to eat there during wrestling. They have the best fries.
