Well I'm Back. Not for long though. My surgery is being postponed to January due to the doctor's wishes >> Stupid Idiots if you ask me. I might not get to wrestle my sophmore year cause of my knee. For all that don't know , I have a torn ACL and a torn Meniscus in my left knee. I'm having to babysit my brother and sister, AND I'M NOT GETTING PAID FOR IT!
Anyways, I'd thought I'd give you guys a heads up. The reason why I haven't been on here in a while is cause I've been busy But I'll try to post once in a while.......

So.. How's ya all's summers going?

Yeah >> So...Who all wants to donate advice about me probably not getting to wrestle this year? My surgery is in January , but I'm thinking about persuading my mom to letting me wrestle and getting my surgery moved back to March. Cause I want to beat a certain Augusta Senior this upcoming season, and it'll be my last chance to. I mean, If I screw up my knee the doctor's can fix it.

( I know I'm being stupid about this but hey, I don't wanna quit for a year then get back into wrestling.)

Scotty ....... Why the long wait before surgery? Having had four knee operations (2 major and 2 scope), I can only tell you to take the time to rehab well before resuming competition ....... I was in the same hurry as you to return to competition after the first surgery ...... that haste contributed to surgery #2 ....... didn't learn my lesson and tried to come back to soon from surgery #3 which contributed to surgery #4 ........ the technology is much better now than it was then and your rehab time will be less than mine ...... I'm not saying you should not push yourself to get fit again ....... just don't rush into full competition before your body is ready ....... best of luck!

If you can't wrestle then contribute to the team in other ways. Cheer for those who have no one in the stands when they win and console those who have no one in the stands when they lose. Teach what you've been taught and realise, while you may not wrestle this year, there are those who never get the chance to wrestle at all. Best of luck to you.

From one who has had too much of their past life centered on knee problems, get the surgery as soon as possible and spend the time in rehab. See or change docs if you need to but don't keep putting it off. If the doc wants to wait, change docs.

ACL takes a long time to rehab it's not that fun to deal with either.

You'll be fine if you have surgery at either time. Even if you did it in March you would have up until November to rehab it up. I had a knee injury before regionals and i waited like a month to get surgery so I could wrestle in the Senior Classic. I had surgery in early April and I was fine by July. I tore both of my meniscus, which isn't as serious as your ACL, but you have already torn it so you might as well get in some wrestling before you're out for a long time.

Actually it happened at home in my sleep somehow. I woke up one morning with a swollen knee and no memory of how I hurt it.

I wrestled my whole senior year with a completely torn ACL. All the cool kids are doing it.

I was born at 3 weeks old, so I was only a in the making for 3 weeks, which is younger than you in your 2nd tri-mester.
