Sorry, don't have full results.

1. Norton first 197
2. P-Burg 158.5

Norton entered in eleven weights; had ten in the finals and the eleventh wrestled for third.

Norton results:
112--Bainter; First
119--Madden; First (defeated Dooley of Concordia)
125--Broeckelman; First
130--Mann; Second (lost to Baker of Hoxie 7-0)
135--Jon Harding; Second (lost to Esterel of Beloit 5-2(?))
140--VanEaton; First
145--Soderlund; fourth
152--Pfannenstiel; second (Schamberger, Hoxie (3-1?)
160--Roe; First (named outstanding wrestler of torunament)
171--D. Stanley; second
215--S. STanley; second

BTW, the Norton JUNIOR HIGH Blue Jays dominated in their own invitational tournament on Feb. 4. The Junior Jays scored 263 points. Finishing second was Colby (200) and third was Oakley (153). Also in the tournament were Atwood, Hill City, Hoxie, Smith Center and Osborne. Some EXCELLENT junior high wrestling was on display yesterday. In the opinion of this observer, NWKS wrestling will remain strong well into the future.

What's in the water in Norton? Yellow dye #7. I think their must be some kind of Billy the Kid cloning going on!

Just want to add that I thought the refs at this tourny were the best I have seen in quite awhile. Congrats to them, I hope to see them in Hays.
