I know records look good but they do not always tell the story. I don't know your wrestler you referring to, but I have seen Coakley over the years and he's the real deal. As far as you making a statement like you did and with you only having 2 post under that name I am amusing you are dad, and you should be proud, but not cocky for your kid. Congratulations on a state championship, but don't discount kids that go to tough tournaments and accumulate a few losses. In the end you may be right. Your wrestler may be able to beat Coakley, but instead of calling him out on a public talk forum enter some National tournaments that I am sure Coakley will be attending and take your shot at him.

Tanner was a runner up in 4A, ranked 7th. Not sure who you're talking about.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say your talking about trowbridge? If so you can throw a bigger kink in it from 3-7. Trowbridge goes 3-0 I believe against Reischick this year also beats Wallace but loses to Scantlin and Motter at state. Motter goes 2-1 against Scantlin this year but loses to Reischick and beats Trowbridge at state. Scantlin beats Trowbridge and Reischick in the finals.

I know Ayrus, my son wrestled with him way back, in middle school duals. Great young man. BUT, who and where you wrestle, leap frogs, most.

I'd love to see Jones go through an Ark City/Goddard/SJA/Mill Valley/Olathe North/Garden City type of schedule without a blemish. Theres a reason these teams are consistently producing individual titles and team titles year after year. People these days are so scared to take losses. There's only one tournament you want to be undefeated for.

Rankings don't always reflect how you do at state. They also reflect your body of work.

Amen!

As for Jones being able "handle" Cokeley, I agree with Spexy. Go and take your shot at him!

The kid is the 7 spot is Gastineau and he was the 4a runner-up. He got taken down by the #2 kid all class in the last 10 seconds in the finals.

Is there a reason 4a 138 gets very little recognition.... Johnson from Burlington goes undefeated and is number 8 while Ordonez gets third and is number 9??

126 Tubbs beat Browne because he is 321A should not be a reason for a lesser ranking

You're ignorant if you think Tubbs is getting a lesser ranking because of the class he wrestles in. Head to head isn't always the going to be the final criteria. Look at the body of work of both wrestlers i.e. who they have beaten and who they have taken losses from.

Both are great wrestlers! But who have they beaten above them to earn a ranking higher than what they are. Going undefeated is nice but kinda overrated imo.

Thanks for the post. Both had great seasons! Am I missing something on Ordonez over Bollinger? He was on Colby's side and lost 2-1 along with having an impressive body of season work. I sure wish Colby had wrestled those top guys. He did all he could with that schedule.

Good post James. Those Gfeller losses had him behind Browne but the last win at state does move him back above. I am fixing that!

Wow! Battles everywhere, just like it should be!

Thank you for all of the input. I will be adjusting these rankings for a little while longer. The All-Class Dual teams are forming and invitations are going out based on the order below. I will wait till after the Denver trip to finalize them before the original and official All-Class t-shirts are printed for 2015-16! There are only 15 of these shirts printed to make them exclusive to each #1 wrestler, plus one for my collection of course...:)

I will be highlighting wrestlers in Blue that confirm to the All-Class trip. Their plans could still change so if you are close, keep your weight at a reasonable level. You might still get invited!

All Bollingers losses where to ranked opponents, two of which were out of Missouri. He was in a few tough tourneys as well.. just looks like 6A is getting more attention, is their schedule tougher??

Bollinger lost to unranked El Dorado and to non all-class ranked Great Bend kid. He had no criteria to rank him above anyone in that top 10. That takes nothing away from his awesome season. It's just criteria.
