Kansas Blue made history today. This group matched the 2005 Junior Dual team in finishing 4th place in the nation in Greco! Winning 5 of 7 duals and beating the #3 seed Oklahoma in front of their home crowd as each match turned into a battle, this team left it on the mat today.

What's Kansas highest place taken in junior Greco ? That 4th place finish might be it! The 2005 team took 8th in Greco (with 4 open weights) and 4th in freestyle.

Wow!!!

Today was filled with awesome battles. Kansas Blue went 4-1, losing a close dual to New Jersey in the semis to land us in the Bronze bracket. We won the first dual in that bracket against Minnesota 2, 35-28.

For the week in both styles, we have three undefeated wrestlers.

There are so many heroic stories to list them all but I have to mention Jace Koelzer (7-1), Tanner Hitchcock (7-4) and Conner Ward (10-2). Those three guys have been workhorses and came to Tulsa on a mission! One first year Cadet that is a star in the making is Dwayne Villalpando from Maize. He is 5-1 so far after going 14-1 last week at Cadet Duals!

Many lifetime memories. I'm going to miss these seniors!
