Leavenworth High School has the Head Wrestling Position open and is accepting applications. Next year's team will bring back 5 qualifiers on the boys side and 2 from the girls, all underclassmen. The upcoming 8th grade class has some talented and athletic kids who are active in the club. The club is established and is coached by Jeff Butler, who's sons Nathan and Daniel both had great careers at Leavenworth and beyond. Also in place is an assistant coach who has a Hall of Fame resume from his time as a head coach at Park Hill in Missouri. Coach Bill Erneste has no desire to be a head coach, but loves his current role as an assistant/technique coach. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the program that the young team has rallied around.
