We will once again be holding the Battle At The Junction Freestyle Greco tournament on April 29th in Junction City. We had a great turnout last year for those looking to get in some good competition right before Kansas Greco/Freestyle State.

We will be using Madison Block Bracketing to help ensure that everyone gets a few matches.

Awards will be issued to the First and Second Place finishers in each bracket and each style. Special Awards to those whom place First in both their Greco and Freestyle brackets.

Registration is now open for the Battle at the Junction tournament.

Do we need to request home site weigh in?

Nope. No need to request. Just email your weights (and any scratches) to me (teamleemom@outlook.com) on Friday 28th by 9pm. I will create brackets and post them as soon as I get everyone's weights in.

What time do you recommend we be there if we're only wrestling freestyle? This is our first freestyle tournament and we live two hours away. Just not sure what to expect. Thanks!

I am hoping for it to be around noon. I will know more when I see our total of kids and create the brackets. Can you email me your phone number and I can keep you posted thru out the week? We look forward to seeing you on the mat!

We have also teamed up with Manhattan to allow 1 weighin. Manhattan has agreed to accept the weights from the Junction City weigh ins. Once each team submits their weights to Junction City, we will forward them on to Manhattan.

Are there any weigh ins in the KC area? Can we just email our weights to teamleemom@outlook.com by Friday 28th by 9pm?

Wamego has a couple wrestlers that are 5 and 6 around 40-45 lbs that would like to get some matches in this weekend. Anyone else have any wrestlers around this age and weight that would be interested in getting their feet wet in Freestyle and Greco?

I will be sending out emails to everyone once registration closes as well, however; I will also create a thread for weigh in locations. Any team with at least 3 wrestlers can hold a weigh in, and please post there locations and times so that any individuals in the vicinity can weigh in as well. I would like to have as few emails as possible (just so I don't miss anyone), and therefore as many kids at sites as possible sent in 1 team email. If, by Friday, there are no locations close to you then please email or text me to let me know and I will get you taken care of.

Bonner Springs Wrestling Club is willing to host a weigh in Friday night, I am sure we will have more than 3 going. I can be reached at william.lara@sprint.com

We have decided to extend our registration to coincide with the Manhattan tournament and allow those clubs that practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays more time.

Registration deadline has been extended to Friday at 6:00pm.

We can do it from 5 to 6pm @ Bonner Springs wrestling room @ the YMCA.
