Indy Takedown Tournament

Tournament Location: Independence High School
1301 N. 10th Street, Independence, KS
Entries and Schedule ($15 Entry fee)
DEADLINE: First 100 entries entered on Track Wrestling (search for Indy Takedown Tournament) Will plan on having the track set up by end of April in order to enter.
CHECK IN: Wrestlers need to be checked in by 9:45 am
WEIGH IN: Wrestlers will compete at actual weight, entered online (bracketed as close to weight as possible)
WRESTLING: 10:00 am start time and will continue until finished (2 mats or 3 if necessary)
Rules
• This is a sanctioned USA Wrestling Tournament. You may only enter in ONE Age Group ONE Weight Class! Need USA wrestling card.
• Matches will consist of One 3-minute period.
• Continuous Clock with the exception of injury or blood time.
• Scoring: Takedown = 2 points; Takedown with Immediate Near Fall = 3 points; Offensive Push-Out = 1 point
• After Takedown or TD/NF is secured, action will stop and wrestlers returned to Neutral.
• Wrestler ahead at end of 3-minutes is the winner. 1-minute Overtime. Sudden-Death is Rock-Paper-Scissors (best of 3)
• Technical Fall will occur when one wrestler gains an 11-point advantage.
Divisions- Open and Girls
• Primary: K-2nd grade
• Intermediate: 3rd-5th grade
• Middle: 6th-8th grade
• High: 9th-12th grade
Bracketing
• We will be using round robin brackets. Please rate the wrestler by the letting system listed.
• A-excellent, B-good, C-average, D-novice
AWARDS: Medals to 1st and 2nd places
CONCESSIONS: Snacks & Drinks will be sold.
COOLERS: WILL NOT be allowed in the gym! PLEASE inform your wrestlers and their parents!
