First off I can not speak about any other school administration other than my own. I don't want to high-jack this thread with that so I will start a new one in a bit in which I would love to receive any and all advice anyone would have for us.

What I was trying to show was that over a 6 week period in tournaments across the state the situation is pretty much the same. Out of the 7 tournaments 144 schools were represented there were 36 opens at 126 and 50 opens at 195. Neither number is good.
I agree with Mr. Mann's last 2 sentences, there are a lot of injuries and illnesses right now, we had 4 open weights this weekend, what frustrates me is his last sentence, "Many of the teams out here are not fulland/or do not have a #2 if the #1 is unable to go."
We certainly are in that situation and based off off having duals scheduled where there have been up to 6 opens and one cancelled due to not enough wrestlers I would say perhaps many more are in that same boat.
Hopefully overall we are the exception and not the rule.
