To avoid controversy, I will respond here. Coach Church is correct, Tommy Williams does not want to wrestle against a much heavier opponent, so he declined the invitation to wrestle 138 against a 145, who we were told is at least 15/20 pounds bigger. Tommy is now in his spring sport, and to wrestler would have been difficult from a scheduling standpoint, so we decided to let a heavier kid do it. I think Tommy is under the actual weighin weight, so he was not a big 138. We did tell the coaches if they had a smaller matchup or if one of the smaller guys dropped out to let us know, and we would reconsider.
